With DWCS3 open, click on the menu at the top of the window titled "File", then click "New".
A new window will open up with the title New Document
On the far left hand side of the window click on the words "Basic Page"
Under the column titled "Page Type:" select HTML.
Under the column titled "Layout:" select
Then at the bottom right hand corner of the window click the button titled "Create".
Now a new blank page will appear in your dreamweaver.
It is important to save often, so we will save the document now.
Click on "File" then "Save As".
Choose the root of your site then for the name of the page type index.html
That's it, you have created your first page. Let's preview it in the browser by clicking the hot key F12 or by clicking "File" in the menu and the selecting "Preview in Browser" then choose the browser of choice from the list of browsers.
